The Westwerk, the Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei and the Kunstkraftwerk have shaped the city’s art and culture scene for years, and we are not active here for the first time either.

Unfortunately, we all had to forego large parts of an active art and cultural life during the corona pandemic (artists, art lovers and organizers).

Art emerged, but apart from the presentation on the Internet there was little opportunity to bring art, artists and art lovers together in one place.

It was more than difficult for organizers to calculate the feasibility of cultural events. Constant changes in incidence values, corona waves and the lockdowns have led us to the decision not to hold an art fair in 2020 and 2021.

We are all the more pleased to be able to start the 2022 season with renewed energy and to bring art to life again. Up to 50 berths are available for artists, galleries and project groups.

The jury, selected by the selection of the participating artists, consists of the curator and artist Alesia Verenich, as well as Prof. Giorgio del Bono and gallery owner Tatjana Nindel. The task of the jury is to ensure a high quality standard of the works shown, since the Kunstmesse Leipzig is intended to present both collectors and visitors interesting and collectible contemporary art. In this respect, it is a great success that the jury is not only familiar with the art scene here in Germany, but also with the global art scene as well as with your most important tendencies.

Over the past few years our exhibitors were able to fascinate and inspire thousands of visitors, waking interest in art and its thousands of varieties and nuances. Certainly a few pictures and videos won’t exactly communicate the special emotions arising in the immediate vicinity of a desirable work of art – but it will do for an quick overview of the fair.
